Experimentarium - The Time MachineExperimentarium is a science center/museum in Denmark that aims to promote interest in natural sciences and technology by encouraging visitors to be active and curious and use their imagination. The museum has adopted a completely new approach to educational museum activities based on visitors’ active participation, experimentation and discovery. The ChallengeThe Experimentarium museum wanted to develop a game about Darwin and evolutionary theory for his 200 years anniversary in 2009. The museum asked Serious Games Interactive to take the lead in this ambitious project. |
The SolutionSerious Games Interactive developed a 3D web-based learning game, which presents Darwin, his life and his theory for schoolchildren. The goal is to offer students an introduction to Darwin, which will provide them with a basic knowledge of him, while motivating them to read more. In the game you get to meet Darwin in 1840 - just before he draws his first sketch for the Tree of Life. Your first job is to help Darwin gather information that enables him to draw the tree. Target group: Students 10-14 years |
